TOO HOT FOR GERMANY – So scheint es, versucht man nachzuvollziehen, weshalb das Album von Sky Ferreira in Deutschland vorerst nicht veröffentlicht wird. Seit einiger Zeit steht die 18-Jährige bei EMI unter Vertrag, neben gestandenen Künstlern wie Depeche Mode und Interpol. Zu übersehen ist sie kaum, sie ist die neue Liebe vieler Fashion-Magazines, wird auf den richtigen Partys gesehen, um zu DEM neuen It-Girl zu werden. Allerdings gibt es einen großen Unterschied zu anderen – Sie kann auch was. In Musikerkreisen ist sie bekannt; Es heißt, dass sie sogar einen Song für Birtney Spears geschrieben haben soll und ein Duett geplant sei.
Ich liebe Sky für ihre rebellische, extrovertierte und sehr authentische Art. Aber auch für die Musik. Das von Rankin gedrehte Video ‚One‘ ist unglaublich schön. Etwas reifer geht es dann in den Videos ‚Obsession‘ und ‚17‘ zu. Aktuell steht ‚Sex Rules‘ bei mir ganz oben auf der Playlist, allerdings noch unveröffentlicht. IHR MÜSST es im Anhang hören. Für euch rausgesucht habe ich desweiteren ein Interview vom Nylon Mag während der New York - Fashionweek, da plaudert sie lässig über ihre Lieblingsdesigner, ihren eigenen Style und Inspirationen.
